Ben Sabberton

Ben Sabberton is Finance Director at XSEM and has been responsible for leading the company’s finance function since joining the business in January 2018. With a career in finance spanning more than two decades, Ben brings extensive commercial and operational expertise, helping to ensure XSEM has the financial insight, control and reporting needed to support both day-to-day decision-making and long-term growth.

Having trained as a Chartered Accountant with one of the Big Four accountancy firms, Ben built his career across a variety of commercial finance roles before joining XSEM. His experience has provided a strong foundation in financial planning, reporting, reconciliations and business performance analysis, alongside a deep understanding of how finance can support wider organisational objectives.

At XSEM, Ben oversees all aspects of the finance function, ensuring reporting processes are accurate, efficient and reliable while maintaining a strong focus on data integrity and financial governance. He works closely with our team, providing insight and support that helps us make informed decisions and deliver success for our clients.

Outside of XSEM

Outside of work, Ben is currently immersed in a new challenge: collecting Panini World Cup stickers with his six-year-old son. What started as a shared hobby has quickly become something of an obsession, with sticker swaps, missing-player hunts and the excitement of opening new packs providing plenty of family fun along the way. For him, it is the perfect combination of friendly competition, collecting and quality family time, and there are few things more satisfying than finally finding a long-sought-after sticker for the album.
