Just a few months into life at XSEM, Harry is already combining his lifelong passion for golf with the kind of attention to detail that helps turn great events into memorable ones.
A life built around the game
For Harry, a career in golf was never really a question. After discovering the sport as a teenager, he quickly set his sights on building a future around it. That ambition took him to the United States on a golf scholarship, where he helped his university reach its first Men’s Golf National Championship whilst gaining first-hand experience of the competitive side of the game.
Those experiences helped shape the expertise he brings to XSEM today.
It’s also a fascinating time to be involved in golf. Harry has watched the sport continue to evolve, attracting new audiences and challenging some of the stereotypes that have followed it for years.
Or as he puts it, more people are finally realising golf isn’t boring after all!
Creating moments people remember
For someone so passionate about golf, it would be easy to assume the courses are the highlight. But for Harry, it’s the people.
Many guests attending XSEM managed golf days may never otherwise get the opportunity to play some of the prestigious venues featured on our events. Being part of creating those experiences – whilst helping people build relationships and shared memories along the way – is what he finds most rewarding.
As he says, “I really like to try being an expert in what I do.” It’s a simple philosophy, but one that’s built around continuous learning, attention to detail and doing things properly.
Driving XSEM’s golf experience forward
As another busy season progresses, Harry’s focus is on ensuring every event finishes strongly, gathering valuable feedback and helping shape what comes next. With several standout events still to come at some of golf’s most iconic venues, there’s plenty for him, and our clients, to be excited about.
His knowledge of the game, desire for delivering exceptional experiences and commitment to getting the details right will continue to play an important role as we create memorable golf events for brands and their guests.
Beyond the Fairway
When he’s not talking golf, watching golf or working on golf events, there’s another sporting passion competing for his attention.
Leeds United.
Ask Harry what always makes him happy, and you’ll get a very quick answer, “Leeds United winning!”
He also claims to be able to do the worm, although by his own admission, not particularly well.
Passionate about his craft, committed to doing things properly and always happy to have a laugh along the way.
