The Bestway Retail Showcase is an annual event which gives retailers the chance to see new products, network and place show-only deal orders.
The event needed to run smoothly and efficiently, while working within a tight budget for an immersive cowboy- and hoedown-themed afterparty. We also introduced a bespoke Deals Portal, allowing suppliers to take orders directly on their stands and giving retailers the option to pre-order, tailored to three unique customer types. Success for this event was was measured through great attendance, high deal volumes, and a significant reduction in no-shows.
Planning with precision
From the beginning, the operations team mapped out the key dates and kept things on track with regular catch ups with the client. This helped everyone stay aligned on the goals and meant decisions could be made quickly as plans developed.
There was also plenty of creativity throughout the process, from launching the Deals Portal to developing the immersive afterparty idea. Even with challenges like tight budgets and bringing new technology into the mix, the team kept everything running smoothly through good planning, clear responsibilities and regular briefings with both the internal team and the client. The result was a collaborative effort that made it possible to bring the ideas to life on the day.

Experiencing the event
Attendees were welcomed into a smooth, well organised environment that set the tone from the outset. Clear, confident branding and intuitive signage helped visitors navigate the exhibition with ease, while knowledgeable team members were always nearby to offer guidance and support. Across the floor, exhibitors brought their stands to life through engaging product demonstrations and activations, creating plenty of moments for discovery and conversation. The Deals Portal added another layer of convenience, enabling seamless on-stand ordering and keeping the focus on meaningful interactions.
The afterparty proved to be a standout moment of the event. Despite a modest budget, the team transformed the space into a lively cowboy and hoedown themed celebration that guests will remember long after the doors closed. Thoughtful details, a vibrant atmosphere and plenty of personality showcased the team’s creativity, commitment and ability to deliver an experience that far exceeded expectations.

Revenue from deals doubled compared to the previous year, and the new venue provided better navigation and exclusivity for all participants. The event not only met but exceeded objectives, delivering a vibrant, engaging, and memorable experience for retailers and suppliers alike.
