We’re excited to announce Dan Bardgett, our Managing Director, has joined the board of Meeting Needs, the foundation dedicated to supporting small charities through funds raised within the meetings and events industry. This appointment strengthens the longstanding partnership between XSEM and Meeting Needs, aligning their shared commitment to creating positive change.

A Natural Partnership Rooted in Shared Values
Meeting Needs has awarded life-changing grants to small charities worldwide, focusing on projects that may not have access to other funding sources. One notable example is a substantial donation made to a school in Malawi, where 98% of pupils are orphans, to help improve facilities at the school.
Dan’s appointment to the board is a testament to XSEM’s dedication to giving back to the community and supporting causes that align with their mission to “make people happy.” As Dan expressed, “Meeting Needs has earned its place at the centre of the events industry as an incredible vehicle for those operating in our industry to give something back.”
Empowering Small Charities Through Collective Effort
Through various fundraising initiatives, such as the M&IT Awards and the Royal Parks Half Marathon, Meeting Needs has raised over £1.89 million and supported more than 200 charitable projects.
Dan’s role on the board will involve collaborating with fellow trustees to identify and support a diverse range of projects that make a tangible difference in communities. His experience in brand engagement and his commitment to community well-being will be invaluable in advancing Meeting Needs’ mission.
