Overview:

The Parfetts Go Local Ball is an annual event, usually adjoined to their tradeshow but in 2021, we went big! We hosted the tradeshow virtually earlier in the year before making the awards a standalone event highlighting Parfetts appreciation for their retailers & suppliers. The event was dedicated to recognising and rewarding businesses for their continued support over recent, difficult years.

The concept

The concept was simple, they wanted everyone to ‘have a ball’! So, a ball they did have!  

We created a brand and theme for the event that was crisp, classy, and festive. This was replicated throughout the pre-event communication and brought to life at the live experience.  

 

The experience

 

Retailers arrived at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Manchester to partake in exclusive sessions with Parfetts’ Go Local Ball sponsors; Coca-Cola, DIAGEO, Heineken, Kellogg’s, PepsiCo Walkers, Budweiser, and Pernod Ricard. Retailers had the opportunity to speak first-hand with massive brands, their insight being incredibly valuable for suppliers. Sessions were a mix of presentations, sampling, NPD updates and a Pernod Ricard cocktail making class to close the afternoon sessions.  

A drinks reception kickstarted the evening, including a branded sequined backdrop for photo opportunities. It’s all about the glam! We amped up the production in the ballroom, displaying a large stage with 3 inbuilt LED screens (including one 9m x 4.5m!).  

For the awards, our creative team produced an array of themed motion graphics, complemented with a professional voiceover artist and house band to add stings at the winner’s stage entrance and departing.  

The evening continued with fabulous food, drinks, dancing, and live entertainment.

Results

The event was a massive success for Parfetts. The afternoon sessions produced insightful information that will help to shape future business plans for Parfetts and suppliers. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, the retailers definitely “had a ball”.
