We recently held our annual summer away day at Headingly Stadium in Leeds. Almost every member of XSEM was able to come together to discuss the future of the XSEM and how they could play a part in it.
The day began with a series of interactive sessions so that everyone could get involved in the discussions. We covered a range of different topics throughout the day from ‘what the future means to me!’ to ‘people’, ‘profit’ and ‘product’ and ‘process’.
We also spent time focusing on how we deliver the best experiences for our clients. With a session titled ‘walking in your shoes’ we quite literally took off our shoes, popped on our XSEM branded slippers and got to work discussing what we have been doing and what we could to in the future to make sure our clients are at their happiest.
We also worked in groups to define how we could make XSEM the best place to work and what wellbeing means to us. At the end of the day we all voted on our 5 most important topics with a view to moving forward with the top selections immediately.
“The team away day provided the perfect opportunity for the entire team to spend some time together. It was brilliant to see everyone come together to map out the future of XSEM with our clients and people at the forefront. We’ve come away from the day with lots of exciting actions and will be putting working groups together to make sure that we deliver.”

The afternoon was all about team bonding and of course, we added a competitive angle. After a relatively relaxed lunch we split into teams and set off around Leeds on an Olympic treasure hunt!
Thanks to the company Wild Goose and our dedicated social committee, we were armed with everything we could possible need to fulfil the challenge as we made our way from Headingley to Leeds City Centre.
Congratulations to team orange who stormed ahead to secure first place!
