What is your guilty pleasure?

“For me The Office US has literally got me through lockdown, with an amazing 9 seasons and a whole lot of laughs I couldn’t recommend it enough. I watched the UK version quite a while ago so was slightly apprehensive about the US show but how wrong was I!

The show follows Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell), who is the manager of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, and all of his employees at their branch in Scranton. As soon as I started the first episode I was hooked and love how I’ve become invested in all of the characters and their lives! There’s nothing I love more than sitting on the sofa, with a snack (or two) and laughing the night away, if this sounds like your heaven you’ll love The Office US just as much as me!”

"Does ‘binge walking’ count?

That’s pretty much what I do every weekend and weeknights now. I love being outdoors and there’s so much countryside where I live; woods, fields, canals and the Peak District is on our doorstep (when we’re allowed further afield again!).

Other than that, I’ve started reading the Game of Thrones’ books. I loved the series but the books are a whole new level of commitment. 1 down, 6 to go..."

“I have just sadly finished bingeing TV series Schitt’s Creek on Netflix.

I think with everything going on, that the show brings you a good laugh, it is very heart-warming but with a mix of extravagant characters that keep you on your toes and make you want to find out what happens to them next.

I did start off last lockdown watching many true-crime shows but found it feels a little more reassuring to watch something a bit more light-hearted!

If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it – you see a reverse ‘rags to riches’ story where a married couple suddenly go bankrupt and the only remaining asset they have is an ugly small town named Schitt's Creek…

What’s not to like?”

"Like I needed another reason to convince my boyfriend I’m an elderly woman aged 26, but I just can’t get enough of them.

Whether I’m sitting at my desk, watching tv or in bed…if in doubt, hot water bottle. It might have something to do with the fact our house is freezing but it’s also giving me extra comfort on these cold dark days! I think eventually I might graduate to an electric blanket, that really would be a guilty pleasure!"

“It's quite embarrassing (and geeky!) but I was actually school chess champion for 2 years in junior school!!

I haven't played since then but have ordered a chess set on the back of watching this series!!”

"I am weirdly binging Insanity Max 30 which is a crazy work out DVD. In the first lockdown people got fit or got fat and I definitely got fat, spending my time eating and stressing. Having got through 2020 I was determined to be positive and channel my energy into getting fit, growing XSEM and opening my mind.

This is totally not me, I can’t even recognise these words but I am strangely enjoying it. I am also doing it with a couple young lads from the village who are superstars of the future! We are also doing the Google fundamentals of digital marketing course together which is really fun. I’m enjoying mentoring the guys and it’s not all selfless, I get a big kick out of mentoring them and its good to beat them in the gym every now and then!"
