The places in our hearts
My favourite destination is Positano, Italy.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen somewhere as beautiful as Positano, although the entire Amalfi Coast is pretty spectacular. We’ve been to Positano 4 times and I’m desperate to go back when the pandemic is over.
Where better to watch the world go by with incredible views, to eat amazing pizza, sip delicious drinks (limoncello and Aperol Spritz are personal favourites) and of course, to get married. Oh yes, we also tied the knot here (in case you didn’t already know!) Safe to say I’m obsessed!
My favourite destination is Thailand,
I have been twice and spent a month there. It’s the most wonderful country, the people are so lovely and the food is out of this world! If you get chance to go, visit one of the amazing Elephant Sanctuaries it’s an amazing experience
My favourite trip was to Los Angeles
Avo and eggs for breakfast, Margaritas for brunch… so cliché but why the hell not?
Hiking up to Griffiths Observatory for sunrise, visiting the beautiful Santa Monica and free-spirited Venice beach, touring the downtown markets… There is literally so much to do! I went down a glass slide 1,000ft above the city too and watched the Dodgers lose to the Nationals, in the playoffs.
Oh, and lets not forget I met my hero at the Warner Bro Studio, Dobby (The Free Elf) ❤
My favourite destination is North Cornwall.
The Coastline from Constantine Bay to Padstow is incredible, has it all for me, great cliff top running, varied beaches for the kids, championship golf (Trevose GC), Rick Stein Fish and Chips, Doombar (beer and the actual Doombar) and a languid pace of life.
My favourite destination is Australia
(although New York is close second) - I visited for the first time recently and went to Perth and Sydney - the lifestyle, being outdoors, the sunshine, the beers (schooners) and of course the Bondi Lifeguards ;-)
One of my favourite trips was Canada.
I finally got the chance to visit my Uncle in 2017 after he emigrated about 15 years ago. We spent some time with family in Calgary before heading out to Banff National Park to enjoy the mountains, hot springs and wildlife. Seeing bears from our car was AMAZING as well as taking the plunge and going white water rafting. I would love to go back again and see it all in the snow!
We've been so lucky to go to so many amazing places and I'm torn between family holidays and amazing XSEM trips.
One of my favourite XSEM Trips was Chamonix 2019. First large scale Ski trip and we (Nic) smashed it! the combination of Skiing, great hotel and the Tepee party were incredible.
