PPG GOLF MASTERS
Overview:
The PPG Golf Masters has been the leading golf series, in the paint industry, for 10 years. Over the last decade, we’ve hosted 100+ golf days with 5,000+ PPG Architectural Coatings’ customers. The annual project is a great way for PPG to interact with their customers, build on relations and make new friends. We all know the best way to do business is out on the course right?
A new way to play:
In 2020, with all live events on hold, it became increasingly difficult for businesses to develop customer relations through face-to-face interaction. Whilst most businesses went virtual, we worked with PPG to create a safe spin on their annual golf series. We changed the way we play!
Social distancing requirements were encouraged, drinks fountains and balls cleaners were taken out of play, sanitisation stations were available throughout the course, temperature checks were done on arrival, tee times were staggered to avoid groups congregating, registration was taken outside and behind a screen... the list goes on! We worked with PPG to deliver numerous changes that made the golf series safe to play.
PPG lead the way:
It was clear people were hungry for social interaction. In less than a week, over 60% of attendees signed up for the series and over the three-month period, we hosted 500+ golfers.
For us, it was brilliant to see the immediate uptake on the event. Customers trusted in PPG and XSEM to deliver a safe proposition and it gave the industry something to look forward to. People were excited to have an event in their diary and PPG led the way! It was a morale booster when people needed it the most and we’re incredibly proud to have been part of that.
