Sports hospitality specialist XSEM has enjoyed an action packed 2008 and next year looks set to be just as eventful following the launch of its incentive and conference division.
XSEM has long been synonymous with sports event marketing. It offers top flight hospitality to major sporting events and is the official host partner of the World Snooker Championship. While it remains one of the leading sports hospitality providers, developments this year have seen XSEM triumph as a provider of incentives and conferences; earlier this year it merged with The Event Office, an association company bringing in Darren Boston to strengthen their sales team. XSEM has also appointed Amanda Collins, formerly an event manager at international property consultants King Sturge, as Operations Manager to deliver the high standard of events clients have come to expect.
XSEM kick-started 2008 by delivering the King Sturge International Conference in Madrid, a bi-annual event that played host to 600 members of senior management and their spouses. In addition, XSEM is responsible for providing nationwide quarterly sales incentives for national recruitment firm Michael Page. What’s more, XSEM can deliver a vast choice of bespoke event packages.
Michael Gwilliam, XSEM Director, explains: ‘It’s been a great year for XSEM with the addition of key personnel allowing us to set up our incentive and conference division. Winning the business of established major brands means the future looks bright for this new division.
2009 may be a tough year for UK businesses but with budgets shrinking and clients looking to maximise return on investment we believe more clients will look to more innovative events instead of doing the same old thing. XSEM event solutions division is perfectly placed to help clients get the most out of their budget and offer something more memorable.”
